From the end of January until the end of February it was very cold in New Jersey, from the Polar Vortex. Then it went into the 40's and the 50's for the first 2 days in the beginning of March and then it got cold again; when the arctic cold air returned, and the weather could stay cold until the end of March for the Midwest and the East Coast. On March 5; New Jersey sets the record for the most low temperature days. The weather has been very cold in some other parts of the United States like New York where part of Niagra Falls froze; and in Chicago where they are having record breaking days of temperatures below 0 degrees. The almost back to back snow storms; made this one of the snowiest winters. It was the coldest winters in 20 years.

The weather temperatures should be getting gradually warmer; because the first day of Spring is on March 20, 2014.
